Our sawmill is certified to the PEFC - certification standard. We have ever source our logs almost exclusively from domestic forests, which are certified predominantly PEFC or FSC. This enables short transportation routes and guarantees us wood from lasting, ecological wood culture.
For over 200 years the domesting forests are managed according to the principle of the perpetuity. That means, it is not harvested more than it regenerates. Plants and animals as well as soils and waters are protected. This reasonable forest utilization contributes to the preservation of the living space, and is highly beneficial for the ecological equilibrium.
Our forest needs the change from old to young trees, that maintains its vitality and strength and extracts the climate harmful CO₂ from the atmosphere.
