Holter Sägewerk is a family business run by the Fischer family for over 30 years.
The company was bought in 1973-4 by Dr. Friedrich-Wilhelm Fischer and was dedicated to sawing and stocking Oak and Beech. The main aim of the Company was to satisfy the requirements of a wide range of customers by producing high and consistent qualities of oak and beech boules and waney edged lumber.
The Business transferred successfully to the next generation on the Family in 2002 when Stephan Fischer took control and extended the range of product with additional European and North American hardwood species. Stephan also focused the sawmill on to the requirements of the Export markets.

Our aim is still to satisfy the requirements of our customers worldwide.
We are able to react flexibly and rapidly to changing market situations as a result of modernisation and extension of our systems and processes, and by harnessing the decades of experience available in the company. We have worked with our customers to develop custom made sorting and grading procedures in association with highly competitive pricing.
