Wood – A versatile and renewable resource

Wood is characterised by good strength and surface hardness properties combined with low weight and low thermal conductivity. It looks and feels warm to the touch, the structure is infinitely variable, while providing specific characteristics that define a specie. There is a range of colour, grain pattern, figure and strength and durability to enable imaginative creativity with beautiful appearance and functionality for a host of applications – Joinery, furniture, construction, wall cladding, flooring and so on.
Wood confers a warm and comfortable ambience and a feeling of well-being for most people, and it combines this with a range of appropriate technical properties, ease of working, shaping, joining and finishing, and affordable price.
It is additionally a low energy production process in relation to competing materials and is a renewable resource unlike any other competing products. All waste are bio-degradable or can be processed in to useful products.
